About Chicagoland Tutor
After I retired from full-time teaching, several former college students who were either finishing their undergraduate programs or in grad school asked me if I could informally assist them with their academic assignments, especially research assignments and master's thesis. These students had younger brothers and sisters, so word spread: students told family, family told friends, and I was eventually helping students of all ages. Since I wanted to stay involved in education and put my varied teaching skills to good use, I started Chicagoland Tutor in order to reach others who could benefit from the skills of an experienced instructor.
Over the past fourteen years, I have worked with hundreds of students of all age groups. Because there has been and increased demand for qualified academic tutors, I try to accept as many students as possible; however, I have to limit the number of students in order to give everyone maximum individual attention: I usually only working about 15 student per week. I also work with some college students on an "as need" basis.
When you retain my services, you are employing a state-licensed instructor with thousands of hours of full-time classroom teaching experience and a dedication to quality education. Many clients who contact me do so based on strong recommendations from dozens of satisfied parents and students.
The mission of Chicagoland Tutor is to offer students much more than simply a weekly meeting with a tutor or help with homework. I provide my students with a high degree of personal attention and challenge them to perform above their grade levels. I am available to assist students seven days a week and provide students and parents numerous extra benefits that they may not get from commercial tutoring services.
